General Maintenance and Custodial Technician

The General Maintenance & Custodial Technician is a part-time position with weekly hours that vary based on seasonal needs, maintenance requirements, and custodial responsibilities. This role is primarily responsible for the care, cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the facilities and grounds at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lanesville. The technician will work alongside the maintenance staff at St. Joseph Catholic Church and School to ensure all parish facilities are properly maintained.

The ideal individual is dependable, conscientious, and takes pride in their work and in maintaining clean, safe, orderly, and welcoming facilities. Attention to detail, personal accountability, and a commitment to completing tasks thoroughly and correctly are essential. The ability to recognize maintenance and safety concerns, follow applicable codes and requirements, and maintain high standards of quality and safety is also important.

St. Mary will be the primary area of responsibility, though flexibility is necessary to provide assistance or coverage at St. Joseph Catholic Church and School when needed, particularly when the primary maintenance staff member is unavailable. Maintenance, funeral, and special event support will be shared responsibilities among the maintenance team. Some tasks, such as moving tables and setting up for larger events, will require teamwork and coordination.
