Frequently Asked Questions
We want to ensure you feel entirely at ease during your visit. If you have any further inquiries, please feel free to reach out.
How do I get to St. Mary?
Our parish is located at 2500 St. Mary's Drive, Lanesville, IN 4713.
How do I get to St. Joseph?
Our parish is located at 312 E. High Street, Corydon, IN 47112.
I’m not Catholic, how do I know when to sit, stand and kneel?
Most visitors follow the lead of our parishioners. However, we do have cards in the back of St. Mary and the narthex of St. Joseph.
I’m not Catholic, is it okay for me to participate in communion?
Communion, or The Eucharist, is the most intimate expression of our faith. Catholics believe the host is literally the body of Christ, transformed from bread by the priest presiding over the service. If you are not Catholic, we ask that you not receive communion. However, those not receiving the Body of Christ are invited to come forward with their hands crossed over their chests for a blessing.
Am I expected to put money into the offering?
If you are visiting, we don't expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to let it pass you by. If you consider our parish your church home, we'd love for you to prayerfully consider giving to our parish on a weekly basis. Learn more on our giving page.
