The Parish Life Commission (PLC) encourages the members of our Catholic Community to become one church family through events that inspire a Christian community. The PLC supports this message by:

Encouraging the planning and organizing parish social events
Welcoming visitors and new members of the parish
Supporting groups who help those in temporary crisis or have emotional needs

Home Communion Ministers

Home Communion Ministers assist the pastor in visits to the sick and homebound of our Catholic Community.

Funeral Meals

Parishioners assist in caring for bereaved families by preparing a meal for after the funeral.

Newcomer’s Welcome Team

The Newcomer’s Welcome Team contacts and makes visits to family who are new to the parish.

Catholic Community Men’s Fellowship Group

Originally begun as a follow-up for men who have made the Christ Renews His Parish Retreat (CRHP), the Catholic Community Men’s Fellowship Group welcomes all men who want to continue to support one another in prayer and social ties.

St. Peter Women’s and Men’s Group

Our mission statement is to enhance and support St. Peter’s Parish and the surrounding community through spiritual, monetary and physical (acts, deeds, or works).

Senior Citizens Group (Sometimers 55+)

The Catholic Community Senior Citizens Group meets monthly for a pitch in lunch at noon. Often an informational or inspirational speaker or entertainment is also part of the day. Its main purpose is socialization, fellowship, and various service projects.

Quilting

The Quilting group meets on Wednesdays in the parish hall to make quilts for St. Joseph School and Catholic Community raffles.

Activities under the direction of the Parish Life Commission:

Euchre Night- Euchre night is held every month on 1st and 5th Mondays at 7:00 pm in the Hillman Room at St. Joseph. All adults are welcomed.

Family Fun Picnic- Picnic is held yearly. Meat and tableware are provided and guests are asked to bring a dish and drinks to share. It is a day full of fun and fellowship.

Father/Son Banquet- Banquet is held the weekend of Father’s Day. It is a wonderful time for fathers and sons to get together in fun and fellowship.

Mother/Daughter Banquet- Banquet is held Mother’s Day weekend and is rotated between the three parishes. It is a wonderful evening saluting Mary, our Mother, and all other mothers in the Catholic Community.
